In addition to being award winning author of epic historical romance and romantic suspense, Lynda Rees offers quality, top-notch editing services to authors.

Let’s face it, writing is hard! Editing is worse. You don’t have to carry the weight alone.

I can take that burden off your shoulders.

Whether you’re a newbie drafting your first manuscript or you have published multiple books, I can help make your book into the powerful read it’s meant to be. I work with authors at any stage of their career, regardless how you intend to publish the work..

I am thorough and detail oriented, a self-proscribed nitpicker with your book’s and your best interests at heart.

I can help you with developmental editing, as well as content and line edits. Development and content editing rates are based on assessement of the project’s needs.

If you require more than line editing, we can discuss the fee for the work you need done and agree to a fee based on the project requirements. Upon assessment a quote will be provided, and you have the option to accept or reject the offer. Rates are below for line editing.

I specialize in Romance of all heat levels (and sub-genres), from sweet to sizzling and in Mystery, whether cozy or intense. I am skilled at a wide range of fiction genres, from Women’s Fiction, American/Western Historical, Inspirational, YA and NA, to Time Travel and Paranormal.

Free Consultation upon request.

Rates for Line Editing

Fees are calculated based on the manuscript word count on a per word basis .

Before you pay you will know how you will be charged. The rate is .01 per word. For example, if your manuscript is 50,000 words, your total cost would be $500 at $.01 a word. 50% Of payment is due upon submission of contract.

Your rate will be locked in after I see your work and can properly assess it. This is at no cost to you. You can receive a free one-page sample edit, so you know you’ll be happy with the process. I use Word Tracking Changes function, and am happy to assist if you’re not familiar with its functions.

Payment

All payments will be made through Paypal.

Full payment is due before the completely edited file (book) will be released to the author.

Turnaround time varies with length and my editing schedule. We can agree on an ETA upon submission of the project.

Please be up front with your deadline. I wouldn’t want your book to be delayed by a miscommunication.

* Please note: If the manuscript requires specialized, more detailed work, the rate will be higher than .01 per word. If this is the case, I will bring it to your attention as soon as it is determined to be more complex than anticipated. You have the option to continue at the newly assessed rate or opt out of the project at whatever stage it is at the time.

*Please note, the initial payment is nonrefundable.

If you would like an assessment and sample page of how your line editing will be done, email the first chapter and a synopsis of the manuscript to me. Email: lyndareesauthor@gmail.com
