Moe Dalitz, Cleveland Syndicate Head 

Sam Tucker–ran illegal booze from Canada during prohibition 

Louis Rothkopf–ran illegal booze still operations during prohibition

Morris Kleinman–ran breweries in Cleveland

A bit of local history for you.  During the 1930-1970’s Northern Kentucky, especially Newport, was a mecca for illegal gambling and prostitution. People came from around the world for the entertainment.  The area was frequented by famous stars, some for fun and some entertaining the masses. These were among the, at least, nine “major clubs.” There were many more minor clubs.

Beverly Hills, Flamingo, Glenn Hotel/Glenn Rendezvous, Glenn Schmidt’s Playtorium/Snax Bar, Hi-De-Ho/19 Club, Primrose Club/Latin Quarter/Bluegrass Inn, Lookout House, Merchant’s Club, Yorkshire Club

Gold Miners

During the Alaskan Gold Rush, Alaska was a treacherous time and place. Unscrupulous, savage elements were everywhere. Not only the brutal weather and treacherous terrain, but the human element was devastating to the miner population. Only a handful of successful miners actually made it out with their gold.
