Love is a mystery to be explored! Enjoy the ride.
I write as Lyndi Rees. I started writing what I loved to read – romance with a hint of mystery and history a few years ago. I write about things I am interested in like the history of the mob, the wild west, US expansion into Alaska, horse racing and equestrian breeding. I find it fascinating how history affects our current day lives. I live with my husband and our family of critters on a horse farm in Kentucky. I am fascinated with how historic events help frame our lives today.
I write romantic fiction with a bit of mystery and history.
I have many faces and am adept at juggling multiple priorities. I am a story teller at every opportunity, dreaming and writing blessings into my life since I learned to read at the age of five at grandpa’s side. Stories have a continual thread throughout every aspect of my life. I nurtured two amazing people to become phenomenal adults, my son Michael and daughter Brandy. I am working that same magic spell on my grandchildren, Harley and Hunter.
I am a dreamer, whose dreams come true. I dreamed of an incredible man to share my life; two blonde, blue-eyed babies; and a horse farm in Kentucky filled with family, fun, critters, and laughter. I share my life with my hero, my strength, my loving and supportive husband, Mike. Whatever crazy adventure I conger up, he is right by my side.
My diverse background brings a rare perspective and insight into everyday life, which plays out in my writing. I was born in the splendor of the Appalachian Mountains, the daughter of a coal miner, granddaughter of a Cherokee Indian. My father instilled in me, a strong work ethic and capability to achieve my goals. I grew up in the area, when the Mob reigned supreme in Newport, Kentucky and the city prospered as a mecca for gambling, prostitution and sin.
I am a free spirited adventurer and a fun loving gal, with workaholic tendencies.
Writing has brought me extraordinary experiences, opened worldwide doors, and taken me to exotic locations, I never dreamed to set foot in. Traveling the world, visiting exotic places and enjoying wonderful cultures helps flavor my work.
I am member of Romance Writers of American, PRO; Association of Writers and Writing Programs; Ohio Valley Romance Writers Association; North Texas Romance Writers of America; Mid-America Romance Writers; Kiss of Death Writers; Indiana Romance Writers; From The Heart Romance Writers; and American Writers and Artists, Inc.
Writing romance is my passion. I have been writing for over thirty six years, been published in various Cincinnati area newspapers, and author a real estate newsletter.
So many stories swirl in my head at any given time, that I find myself, drifting off to sleep each night, as they brand themselves in my subconscious. They are that eager to find their way onto my written pages.
I hope you find something that speak so your heart!
Time for Romance!

The KY Derby is in the press now due to the decision to disqualify the winner. At the Preakness Sat. I thought I had the winning Exacta Bet. Viewing the photo finish video for second place, my #5 horse was beat by an inch or two by a fabulous long shot I’m sure to bet in the Belmont Stakes in two weeks.
