No One ever said it better! My Take On Writing

COFFEE MUSINGS BY AUTHOR LORENA PETER

I the serial collection needed milk and gave it some.    am a writer. I have been since I could hold a pencil. I don’t just like calling myself that~~ a writer. I actually love the process of sitting at a computer, hands on keyboard. Or sitting at the table, pen and notebook in front of me with pages just waiting to covered with the fruits of my imagination. In fact, I would write on the backs of grocery receipts if that were the only paper left in the world. I love the feeling of the story as it unfolds in my brain and then on the computer screen. For hours, I can lose myself in that fantasy –seeing the twists and turns weaving themselves together to protect my heroine or to catch the bad guy. In that world, I am the Empress of the Universe.

Lots of people are similarly afflicted. As my writing partner and I finished a script, we looked at each other and said at the same time in mournful tones, “I want to move to that town.” At that time we were referring to a small town we named Tibet, but at other times the comment has referred to so many other places! They were places perfect because of that special group of residents who offered welcome and challenge and hope, and sometimes enlightenment.

COFFEE MUSINGS BY AUTHOR LORENA PETER

One morning I heard the doorbell ring so early that it jerked me out of a deep sleep. Still in a sleep fog, I threw on some clothes and ran to answer it. On the way I saw some hand sanitizer on the console in the foyer and thought that I could use a bit under my arms… just for good measure. A squirt under each and off I went to answer the knock. It was a very early delivery of something I had ordered so long ago I’d forgotten the order. I opened it while still standing at the door and was delighted to see my prize. But the packaging stuck to my hands. What the hey? As I walked toward the shower, I noticed that there were two little bottles on the table. One was hand sanitizer. The other was the strongest glue known to man. I may never be able to raise my arms again!      Thanks to VIP, Author Lorena Peter
